Curent event #1

Last January there was a car exhibition in Las Vegas tons of people should up to test drive these cars of the  future. That look liked colored eggs than an ordinary car. The cars run on electric power instead of gasoline and have only two wheels and fit two passengers they were small enough to fit six cars into one space. One of the best things about these tiny cars is that they park themselves and will come to there driver with just a click of a button on your cell phone. These cars are called EN-V made by GM General Motors to show what we could accomplish in the future. Scientist and engineers are trying to make cars safer smarter and more efficient and use less energy so we can save the environment. They want to make cars smarter so that they could remind you to take prescription medicines or if there electric send you a text to plug them in if they are low on battery. This does sound kinda weird but they want the cars to talk to each other or other electronics so the can help drivers even teach them to avoid pedestrians and other cars. Also they want to make it so that if your on a busy highway or city they will drive themselves to your destination or till you can drive to wear you are going. Google sent out six self driving cars and road in them but only to supervise and give directions so there were no accidents cars drove around North California the cars drove for over 140,000 miles even drove over the Golden Gate Bridge the cars weren't just to look interesting Google is trying to make roads safer a computerized car won't get confused from laptops, kids, iPod's or phones. Using lasers sensors and special radar and cameras the car can avoid cars obstacles and accidents. Google has made an assistant robot called AIDA that hooks on to your dashboard that has little blue eyes and give directions and uses a video camera to watch your emotions it also talks to the outside world and finds ways to avoid traffic jams and construction.
